Join the RAP team this summer!
Are you a motivated, creative thinker who is interested in working with young people in NYC to make their communities stronger? If so, join us as a Summer Program Intern!
We’re currently looking for two part-time interns who will work directly with our Program staff to facilitate our innovative youth leadership workshops, conduct research to support RAP’s work around critical youth poverty issues, and research and develop creative new youth leadership and advocacy curricula and materials.
Key Criteria for Selection:
Applicants should be self-motivated people who have:
- Passion for working with young people from marginalized communities.
- Interest in curriculum development: You will have the opportunity to build our expertise around social justice issues that impact young New Yorkers!
- Creativity: Group facilitation is an art. The group curriculum and structure will be provided to you, and you will use your creativity to make sure the materials resonate with the group!
- Flexibility: Doing group work with young people can be messy and does not always go as planned. To be successful as a volunteer, you must enjoy a certain level of messiness!
The position is unpaid. RAP will provide a transportation stipend and will support students in obtaining academic credit for summer work.
