INTRODUCING:  YOUTH LEAP!!!

Youth Leadership and Advocacy Program

Youth LEAP is an exciting new peer advocacy program that trains low-income youth to be peer advocates for other young people in communities throughout New York City.  Over the course of nine months, RAP brings together a group teens from all over the City to serve as leaders in their communities by educating other youth about their legal rights and by giving them the information and support to protect those rights.

The Youth LEAP program empowers youth to impact the circumstances of their lives and their communities. Young people develop their research, planning, communication, and leadership skills by engaging in real advocacy work that impacts real lives.  Participation may also fulfill service learning requirements.
